Terms & Conditions

For Our Classes

By booking a class, you agree to the terms below.

1. Booking and Payment

All classes must be booked in advance. Your registration is confirmed only once full payment has been received.

We currently only accept online payments, via credit/debit card and Apple or Google Pay. 

All pricing is listed in CAD and includes applicable taxes and processing fees, unless otherwise stated.

2. Class Passes and Memberships

Although not currently available, Little Storytellers will soon offer several pass options, including drop-in classes and multi-week packages (1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and annual passes).

All passes are non-transferable and may be used only by the child registered at the time of purchase. Passes begin upon the first class attended and expire after the designated time frame.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Drop-In Classes

Drop-in classes are non-refundable once booked.

3.2 Passes

Refunds for class passes (monthly or multi-month) are available within 7 calendar days of purchase, provided no classes have been used. Once the first class is attended, the pass becomes non-refundable.

3.3 Missed Classes

We do not provide make-up classes for a missed class or workshop due to illness, weather or other unforeseen event.

We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

If you cannot attend a module (four-week program), please notify us at least 7 days in advance. If this is done, you can choose between a full refund, excluding processing fees, or one module credit, valid for 30 days. Missed modules without notice, or with less than 7 days' notice, are considered forfeited and are not eligible for a refund or credit.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class at any time. If we cancel a class, a full refund or credit will be offered for that session (refer to our Refund Policy for more information).

4. Attendance and Punctuality

Please arrive on time for all classes. Students who arrive more than 5 minutes late may not be admitted to avoid disrupting the session. Guardians are expected to pick up their child on time. A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged for late pick-ups.

5. Code of Conduct

Little Storytellers is committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior by a student or parent may result in dismissal from the program at the sole discretion of staff. Refunds will not be provided in these cases.

6. Health and Safety

For the well-being of all participants, children must be symptom-free of any contagious illness for at least 24 hours before attending class.

Parents or guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral considerations prior to the first class.

7. Liability Waiver

Participation in Little Storytellers classes is at your own risk. By enrolling, you release Little Storytellers, its staff, and partner venues from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our programs, except where prohibited by law.

8. Photography and Media

We may occasionally take photos or videos during class to be used for promotional purposes (including website and social media use).

If you do not wish for your child to be included, please let us know in writing at hello@littlestorytellers.ca before your child’s first session.

9. Intellectual Property

All class materials, story prompts, worksheets, and creative content are the intellectual property of Little Storytellers. They may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather events, venue issues, public health advisories, or emergencies.

For Our Storytelling Parties

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Storytelling Party bookings with Little Storytellers. By booking a session, the client (parent/guardian/host) agrees to the following:

1. Booking and Payment
  • non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total fee is required at the time of booking to secure your party date.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.

  • Accepted payment methods: e-transfer, credit card, or PayPal (details provided upon booking).

2. Pricing
  • Pricing is based on up to 12 children per session.

  • Additional children may be accommodated at a rate of $7 per child, provided advance notice is given.

  • All materials for planned activities are included.

​

3. Session Packages
  • Basic 30 Minutes ($120): Storytelling + Themed Art/Activity OR Game.

  • Premium 30 Minutes ($180): Storytelling + Themed Art/Activity OR Game + Curated Take-Home Gift.

  • Basic 60 Minutes ($220): Storytelling + Themed Art/Activity OR Game + Guided Writing Adventure.

  • Premium 60 Minutes ($280): Storytelling + Themed Art/Activity OR Game + Guided Writing Adventure + Curated Take-Home Gift.

4. Venue and Set-up
  • Storytelling Parties are hosted at the client’s home or chosen venue.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring the space is safe, clean, and large enough for the activities.

  • We request 10 minutes of set-up time prior to the session.

​

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If you cancel less than 72 hours before the event, the full fee is non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling requests will be accommodated subject to availability, provided at least 5 days’ notice is given.

6. Parent/Guardian Supervision
  • At least one parent/guardian must remain present during the entire event.

  • Little Storytellers is not responsible for supervising children outside of the scheduled activities.

​

7. Safety and Liability
  • Activities are designed to be child-friendly and safe. However, parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s participation.

  • Little Storytellers is not liable for accidents, injuries, or property damage during the event.

​

8. Photography and Media
  • Photos or videos may be taken for promotional purposes only with parental consent.

  • Parents may opt out of photography/media use by notifying us in writing before the event.

​

9. Modifications
  • Storytelling themes and activities may be adjusted based on age group, group size, or venue limitations.

  • If parents prefer a no-mess option, art activities may be substituted with themed games.

​

10. Force Majeure
